On Location...Uttar Pradesh, India
Western Uttar Pradesh has been blessed to be located in the tract of land lying between the holy River Ganga and River Yamuna. This region, famous for being one of the most fertile regions on the globe, has always been laced with immense natural resources and green cover. The region has over half a dozen rivers flowing through it, but the recent past has seen these sources becoming extensively polluted.
In association with World Water Monitoring Day in 2009, NEER Foundation organized water monitoring events in various cities of the region namely Meerut, Gaziabad, Bulandshehar, Muzaffarnagar, Baghpat, Etah, Aligarh, Agra and the national capital Delhi. The Foundation was provided with eight water test kits by the WWMD program. Read more or submit a story!
