A Waterproof Case

Tuesday

Story by Deborah Rodney
Illustrated by Jessica Bonin

Released in 2008, A Waterproof Case is a fictional children's story that was written to generate excitement about water quality monitoring.

The Story

Justin Time, a fish, hires private investigator Michelle Tuesday to figure out why the environment in (and around) his stream is taking a turn for the worse. Pretty soon, Tuesday is also commissioned by Willow, a tree marked for chopping, to make a case for saving her. Will the help of Tuesday and her partner Reggie (a rat, literally) be able to save this stream-based community?

This 36-page illustrated story teaches elementary schoolchildren (ages 8 to 11) the important role that water quality plays in maintaining harmony within aquatic habitats.
