Awards Program
New in 2009-2010, the WWMD Awards Program recognizes WWMD participants for outstanding achievement in boosting awareness of water quality issues.
The program features two types of awards:
Water Champion:
Making a Difference
Water Champion awards recognize superior levels of relevance, educational effort, support, and innovation in the promotion of water quality (via involvement in World Water Monitoring Day).
Awardees will be chosen by a subcommittee of the World Water Monitoring Day regional panel of judges.
Apply from now until January 15, 2011 (applies to 2010 activities).
WWMD Superlatives
The WWMD Superlatives will be awarded based upon data submitted to the WWMD database. These awards are meant to be fun and more light-hearted than the Water Champion awards.
