Data on Google Earth
2008 Data Now Mapped!
Follow these simple instructions:
- Download the free software Google Earth at http://earth.google.com.
- Next, download the WWMD '08 data file. Right-click this link and select “Select Target As” (for Internet Explorer) or “Save Link As” (for Mozilla Firefox).
- Save the file to an easy-to-find location on your computer.
- Important: Change the name of the file from "WWMD_data.txt" or "WWMD_data.xml" to "WWMD_data.kml".
- Now, double-click on the WWMD_data.kml file. Google Earth will open automatically.
- WWMD monitoring sites are shown as red points, labeled with the name of the water source with which the data is associated.
